IP

GlobalSource utilizes state-of-the-art fiber and satellite infrastructure peering with the major global Internet and IP backbone providers worldwide (Unites States, Europe, Middle East, etc.). GlobalSource's network is fully redundant, monitored by a skilled engineering team proactively monitoring all aspects of the our internet backbone on a 24/7 basis through our modern NOC facilities.

Buying IP Transit services from GlobalSource has many advantages over buying elsewhere. Very aggressive prices, flexible terms and instant connectivity are among the reasons companies choose GlobalSource. Several large PTT customers are now buying Global IP Transit from GlobalSource. Increasingly, Partial Transit offerings are being made available enabling massive cost savings and improved performance.

GlobalSource operates peeing points and satellite facilities to provide interconnectivity between satellite covering the Middle East and Asia as well as Europe and North America.

Fiber Solutions

STM1 - DS3/E3 - Full E1/T1

GlobalSource delivers you International fiber-optic network links designed to provide comprehensive communication solutions for data, voice and video transmission to service providers in major metropolitan areas. We provide network transport services within and between carrier telehouses, where service providers exchange and route communications traffic, as well as transport from Telehouses directly to enterprise users within commercial office buildings.

Our networks support multiple transmission protocols including synchronous optical network (SONET), SDH, Ethernet, Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), and Internet Protocol (IP). Our industry-leading provisioning standards have enabled us to manage specific network needs and provide a complete end-to-end solution for all of our customers. A broad range of customers benefit from GlobalSource's services including domestic and international telecom carriers, Internet service providers, wireless providers, video application providers, and others.

We also provide state-of-the-art carrier neutral collocation facilities offering our customers conditioned telco-space to house their mission critical communications equipment. All of our collocation customers benefit from our security, power, and HVAC facilities insuring the continual operation of their network equipment. A key benefit to GlobalSource’s collocation offering is providing to our customers access to over 200 different network providers throughout major metro areas. By being carrier neutral, we also assist in the interconnection of these networks directly to our customer's network equipment.

Our Network Solutions Division combines our extensive network reach with our exceptional customer focus to provide a managed end-to-end solution. This streamlines the provisioning process for all parties and enables service to be installed faster. Being a true telecommunications company, versus a re-seller, we understand the intricacies of our customer's networks and work to ensure full operability.

MPLS  (Multi-Protocol Label Switching)

MPLS interconnects multiple customer sites and remote workers into a single company-wide communications network. This allows your customer's organization to merge voice, data and multimedia applications. Through Classes-of-Service (CoS), the network can distinguish between delay-sensitive traffic (such as voice and multimedia applications) and non delay-sensitive data, such as e-mail, thus ensuring your mission-critical data applications receive optimal service at all times regardless of the amount of lower priority traffic.

Bandwidth options range from 64K up to STM1, meaning that MPLS can work for your business regardless of its size.

 Key benefits of MPLS

• Minimized financial and technical risk
With MPLS, you can move from traditional networks on an incremental basis at your own pace by, for example, adding a PVC for your IP traffic to gain the ‘connectionless’ benefits of MPLS, while keeping your non-IP applications on an existing Frame Relay service; or you could migrate to MPLS site by site.

• Reduced costs
The service means you need maintain only a single network infrastructure.

• Increased efficiency
Optimized traffic routing via CoS provides your organization with a truly scalable network.

• Global service
Access is available in more than 70 countries.

• Single access line per site
As MPLS is an ‘any-to-any’ IP VPN network, every site can access all others on the network. Dedicated point-to-point connectivity between office locations is no longer required.

• Rapid configuration, provisioning and deployment
MPLS makes it easy to tailor and enhance your network, adding capacity and applications as business requirements change.

• Streamlined management
With MPLS, you only have to deal with a single network and a single supplier.

The business world today faces constant change. When customer requirements or fluctuating market conditions demand a response, can your communications network cope? Our MPLS provides organizations with the flexibility needed.

A global IP VPN service, MPLS offers you a dependable and fast platform to enhance company-wide communications and accelerate decision-making.

Secure, versatile and taking full advantage of the scope and capacity of our global infrastructure, our MPLS service enables you to do business.

QOS (Quality of Service)

QoS refers to the capability of a network to provide better service to selected network traffic over various technologies, including Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Ethernet and 802.11 networks, SONET, and IP-routed networks that may use any or all of these underlying technologies. The primary goal of QoS is to provide priority including dedicated bandwidth, controlled jitter and latency (required by some real-time and interactive traffic), and improved loss characteristics. Also important is making sure that providing priority for one or more flows does not make other flows fail. QoS technologies provide the elemental building blocks that will be used for future business applications in campus, WAN and service provider networks.

Point-to-Point

SCPC links provided as dedicated satellite links from one point to another point under the foot print of the selected satellite. Usually will be selected for transferring a few E1 links of voice, VOIP, or providing big capacity of IP Internet.

Benefits:

  • Single line dedicated to the customer needs and requirements.
  • Doesn’t depend on any infrastructure.

  • Bandwidth customized to your needs.

  • Set up new sites quickly and cost effectively.

Point to Multi Point

The service is provided on a satellite based-communication system, enabling private point-to-multipoint networking for applications where the a central base station can communicate with the remote sites, bypassing expensive terrestrial alternatives and providing cost-effective, scalable, feature-rich connectivity for voice, data, fax and Internet transmission.

 Benefits:

Customized to meet the dynamic communications needs of your business, available anywhere within the satellite's footprint.

  • Not adversely affected by geographic barriers or natural disasters.
  • Eliminates regulatory delays.
  • Bandwidth Customized to your needs.
  • Set up  new sites quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Sharing all system resources not only those assigned to you.

These benefits make satellite communication a natural choice for organizations who have  some sites far from reliable communications infrastructure. All communication is accomplished in one satellite hop, directly from the transmitting station to the destination station. Applications requiring Real-Time transmission, such as voice, can share bandwidth with bursting LAN-based sources. Voice calls are connected as needed since voice is digitized  and delivered in packets, periods  of silence during a voice call can be used to transmit data of an asynchronous nature such as e-mail.
